theGOOD - theBAD - theUGLY

"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" are three old friends who are not really old yet, greying here and there perhaps, but not yet old enough to be immune to the follies of life. For example, they get into a car for over six hours to drive across northern Spain to the Bodega El Capricho to taste what is said to be the best steak in the world from an eleven-year-old ox, or to set off on a day trip to Meursault in Burgundy to explore the new vintage of the king of white wines.

The main drive in all their doings is pleasure and to taste everything the doctor has forbidden, if it has been prepared artfully and with love.The three friends agree on these things. What was prepared artfully and with love, their minds argue about, and what was really "to die for" good or just okay, their palates.

REITINGER STUBN

Exactly where a farmer laid the foundation stone for his parlour at the end of the 16th century is still the Reitingergut's Stubn today. Whether it has always been a place of culinary delights and boundless enjoyment is unfortunately not documented. We are convinced that, in addition to the meagre cuisine, the local farmers occasionally had a nice rabbit, juicy feathered game or fresh fish from the lake sizzling in their cauldrons.

It is thanks to Sibylle and Roland that the first gastronomic institution found a home at the Reitingergut over 50 years ago. With the resounding name: Rofis Kuhstallbar. Over the years, the Speckbrot became a crepes bar and later even a pizzeria.

Today, the pizza oven is still in the kitchen of the Reitingergut. Only now theGOOD, theBAD and theUGLY are behind the cooker and try to unite the beautiful Attersee with the big, wide world with their creations.
