Yes, the gorge is still closed. There is a danger to life due to falling rocks and the path has already been removed. Unfortunately, it is not yet possible for us to predict when the gorge - in a modified form - can be reopened.
However, the path next to it, the Valerieweg, which also leads to the Eisenauer Alm and Schwarzensee, is accessible. Alternative and open excursion destinations nearby are the Nixenfall and the Gimbach cascades.
Födinger Alm Weyregg (without overnight accommodation), Hochleckenhaus Steinbach am Attersee (with overnight accommodation), Kreuzinger Alm Weyregg (without overnight accommodation). You can find more mountain huts and lodges here.

Dogs are not permitted in the lidos, on the public bathing areas or on the bathing areas of the province of Upper Austria.
However, there is a bathing area on Lake Attersee between the villages of Schörfling and Steinbach, outside the village areas. There are always small green areas between the road and the lake. These areas are very popular, as you are among your own people and swimming with your dog is not prohibited.
Bathing is also permitted on the promenades, as in Attersee am Attersee (unless there is a prohibition sign). The same applies between Unterach and Steinbach at the diving entry points and in the Weißenbachtal valley.
