Winterreise am See - Schubert in a new sound form

At the end of a sonorous summer, the view opens up into another season: Franz Schubert's "Winterreise", one of the most moving works in music history, is performed in Attersee in a rare, intense version for tenor and string quartet.

Daniel Johannsen, one of the most sought-after Lied interpreters of our time, will be accompanied by the Upper Austrian Atalante Quartet. In this sensitive chamber ensemble, words and music enter into an intimate dialog - haunting, floating, full of interstices.

An evening of song that is more than a concert: an inner journey - for all those who seek space for depth, silence and great music in the Salzkammergut.
