During the time of the Reformation Frankenmarkt was looked after by Protestant clergymen, the Counter-Reformation has removed these traces of Protestant life. The waves of refugees after the war again brought Protestants - Protestant Transylvanians - to Frankenmarkt, who had long celebrated their services in the Catholic Church before the Reconciliation Church was built. Today we try to ensure a good ecumenical cooperation in Frankenmarkt.
With the active help of the Evangelische Berufstätigenwerk in Württemberg and with great personal contributions from the Frankenmarkt Transylvanian Saxons, it was possible to build a Protestant church of its own from 1971 to 1973. In addition to the church rooms, the building also houses a community hall and a tea kitchen.
The Lutheran Church of Reconciliation Frankenmarkt is a sermon station of the Lutheran parish A.B. Timelkam.
Service hours: On every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 10.30 a.m. in the reconciliation church Frankenmarkt; in the Johanneskirche Timelkam there is a service every Sunday at 9 a.m.
