Fishing at Lake Attersee

The fishing season lasts in general from 1 April to 20 November. There are different closed saesons for some fish species.

If you want to go fishing without any concerns you need a fishing book and a valid licence. Attention, this is ONLY AVAILABLE upon presentation of the fishing license with photo as well as the Upper Austrian annual fishing license. More information and the option to order the annual fishing license is available here from the Upper Austrian State Fishing Association.) Of course you need also a fishing equipment. If you do not have the equipment a fishing shop at Lake Attersee (Dorfmarkt Nußdorf) or Charlys Angelbedarf in Vöcklamarkt could help you. Do not worry if you have no luck during you fishing tour because the local inns and fish restaurants around Lake Attersee offer fish specialities.
