MATINEE CONCERT
Anton Bruckner: Symphony no. 3:
in the arrangement for piano, 4 hands by Gustav Mahler

After the performance of his 3rd Symphony in autumn 1877, Bruckner asked the young student Gustav Mahler to prepare a four-hand version of the work. This arrangement, which appeared in 1880, became Mahler's first publication.
