Attergau weekly market

Every week our local suppliers present themselves at the Harnoncourt Square (in front of the municipal office St. Georgen i.A.) to offer you very special delicacies for the weekend at the ATTERGAUER WOCHENMARKT. Every Friday from 14:00 to 17:00 the ATTERGAUER WOCHEMARKT takes place in front of the municipal office St. Georgen im Attergau.

Attention winter break of the market is usually over the New Year.

Whenever it gets close to midday on Friday, you notice an irresistible smell of fried chicken in Attergaustraße. It's the weekly market again! The "chicken cart" already takes its place in front of the municipal office at noon and by 2 p.m. all the other "stallholders" have also arrived and are offering their wares.

Karl Egle started the weekly market in Attergau in 2012. In the meantime, the market has become an important institution in the community. Every Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., a fresh and above all regional offer awaits the guests at the Nikolaus Harnoncourt Platz in front of the St. Georgen municipal office. But it is not only the offer that is convincing, the personal contact to the customers is also important to the market drivers.

In addition to the change of location in 2016 and a new organisational management since the beginning of 2017, new market stalls have also brought a breath of fresh air.

The farmers' wives from St. Georgen have been an integral part of the weekly market in Attergau since the beginning with their freshly baked "Bauernkrapfen" and "Pofesen". In addition to regional cheese, bread, honey, bacon and sausage specialities, the weekly wine stand including a tractor from Weinhaus Huber, as well as fresh flowers and regional and seasonal vegetables await the guests.
