Diving Entry Weissenbacheinlauf

Steinbach am Attersee, Oberösterreich, Österreich
  • All weather
  • Suitable for groups

Beneath the river’s mouth lies a thick layer of old foliage, floating branches, roots, etc. Burbots like to hide here under the branches or in old car tires. Relatively far to the right, in the bay, you will find three platforms at 8, 10 and 20 m deep, which are connected by ropes. Different boards and signs are attached to the platforms. This spot is not interesting below a depth of 20 m, and consists of a bare slope. The expansive candelabra algae and the mussel-thick stones offer a nice view in the flat water. To the left of the entry area, you will be able to find a lot of fish and thick plants in the summer.

The description of the diving spot on the information board is only available in German. You can find the English description in the catalog of Attersee Diving (available at the tourist offices in all villages around lake Attersee or online
