A wonderful hiking trail on forest floor and forest road up to the Hochplettspitz viewing platform. You will be rewarded with a wonderful view of Lake Attersee and many mountains in the region. There is a panorama board on the spot, which names the mountain peaks that can be seen.

This tour leads to the Hochplettspitz, Unterach's local mountain. At the church square, orientate yourself in the direction of the chestnut forest. Pass the jubilee tree and follow the hairpin bends to the forest road. Beyond the road, follow the path uphill to the beautiful viewing platform. You can take a break there before climbing to the summit of the Hochplettspitz (1134 m).

A1 to St. Georgen and then via Attersee-Nussdorf to Unterach
Train to Salzburg (direct buses to Mondsee, connecting buses to Unterach)

or to Attnang-Puchheim (direct buses to Unterach)
From Salzburg Airport via the A1 - exit

Mondsee - continue on the main road to Unterach or A1 to St. Georgen and then via Attersee-Nussdorf to Unterach

From Linz via the A1 - exit St. Georgen and then via Attersee-Nussdorf to Unterach. Georgen and then via Attersee-Nussdorf to Unterach

From Linz via the A1 motorway - exit St. Georgen and then via Attersee-Nussdorf to Unterach
