Austrian Lakes Conference 2026 – “Lakeside Landscapes”
Focusing on the theme “Shore Landscapes,” the Austrian Lakes Conference 2026 will address the question of how lake shores can be designed and preserved as valuable living, recreational, and natural spaces.

Panel Discussion
On September 24, 2026, a panel discussion on the topic “Taking a Hard Line? Natural Shoreline Designs as an Opportunity for People and Nature” will take place at the PGZ Weyregg.

The discussion will focus on how shoreline areas can be designed to balance the needs of people with the protection of nature. Afterward, participants will have the opportunity to network over regional beverages.

Boat Excursion on Lake Attersee
On September 25, 2026, a guided boat excursion focusing on public spaces along the shores of Lake Attersee is on the program. The tour will visit current shoreline projects in Kammer, Seewalchen, and Attersee and examine them up close on site.

The excursion will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Departure is at 1:00 p.m. from the Panoramaschifffahrt in Weyregg. During the trip, the boat will stop at various locations to present the respective projects.

The panel discussion and the field trip are free of charge. Due to the limited number of participants, binding registration for the boat tour is required by September 13, 2026.
