A humorous Austrian short film about Eva’s life journey—from childhood to old age—and how invisibility becomes an unexpected source of strength. This short film humorously explores the cyclical invisibility in a woman’s life—from childhood to old age—and shows how no longer being seen ultimately becomes a source of self-empowerment. “Blue Wonders” is an amusing attempt to question female upbringing and socialization and to poke fun at the much-discussed “invisibility” of women in old age. Through cinematic fragments, viewers experience the main character, Eva, in her childhood, as a young adult, and as an older woman.
