Vöcklataler Pass

Frankenmarkt, Oberösterreich, Österreich

The history

The Vöcklataler Pass

2006 some tradition-conscious young people from Frankenmarkt, which were inspired by the Perchten as well as Krampusbrauchtum together and created a Perchten passport. Due to the proximity to the Vöckla and the valley, whereby it pulls itself, the name developed Vöcklataler passport.
Quickly, many young people from Frankenmarkt and the surrounding area found interest in the beautiful customs. The first club masks were carved by "Metzger" and the skins were bought from "Koch". In a short time the passport had an excellent reputation, whereupon the move into some in-locals was not difficult for us. Among them were for example the "Empire" in St.Martin as well as the "Lusthouse" in Haag am Hausruck. From our founding fathers we have today unfortunately none more actively in the association. We currently have 19 active members, ranging from Perchten and Krampussen to stewards to members who simply help at our events. We can be found in the main season from November to January in the entire Attergau and beyond! While we spend the remaining months often in our clubhouse under the Bräusaal in Frankenmarkt. We get our clubhouse from the family Starzinger at the disposal!
Since 2006, we now count the 4th chairman Hufnagl Herbert, who was elected in December 2015 at the ninth annual general meeting as chairman.
This year the Vöcklataler Pass celebrates the 10th anniversary of its founding.
