Roman bench on Lake Attersee

Attersee am Attersee, Oberösterreich, Österreich
  • Suitable for groups
  • Suitable for pushchairs

Carpe Diem – the Romans knew very well, which places in the Salzkammergut region were worth a break to seize the day!

Get inspired now and try out the 360° Perspectives Tour
On the longest bench in the Salzkammergut, directly on the promenade in Attersee is this place!

Looking at the waves of the crystal-clear water - usually in the indescribable colour of turquoise blue - you quickly lose yourself in your thoughts. While the waves play with your feet, which you casually hang in the water, the Hell Mountains build up on the opposite shore in all their height and width. In between, you can indulge in a historical journey of thought on the information boards about our ancestors embedded in the bank.

Live and enjoy - that's how the Romans were and that's how you should keep it. With a cosy drink or a fine meal, you simply forget the time.
