The "Reiserbauer Mill" is a renovated house mill from the 17th century

In the 1980s, the mill was renovated by the people of Nußdorf under the direction of carpenter Toni Hemetsberger, and since then regular demonstrations have been held in the Reiserbauer mill during the summer months. The mill can be viewed from the outside all year round (except when there is snow).

The "Reiserbauer Mühle" has also been designated a place of happiness, a place where you can escape from everyday life. Use this special place to recharge your batteries, find inner peace or simply listen to the song of the forest and the stories of the old mill.

The impression of transience is very strong here. Nevertheless, or perhaps precisely because of this, the power of preservation that is at work here is palpable. "Don't give up" is the message that this place gives us.

Hiking suggestion:

Option 1: From the center of Nußdorf via the Anger and Oberdorf on the Wildholzweg and from Pfarrer Salettl on the Westwanderweg. After approx. 2 hours, turn off and follow the signs to the Reiserbauermühle mill
Walking time: approx. 3 hours

Option 2: Stockwinkel up the road to the right towards Oberaschau, as far as the Westwanderweg trail - turn off and follow the signs to the Reiserbauermühle mill
Walking time: approx. 3/4 hour

Freeway A1 to exit St. Georgen im Attergau, via Attersee to Nußdorf am Attersee, parking lot at the entrance to the village after the gas station on the left side or directly at the municipal office/information office Nußdorf am Attersee.

by public transport
from Salzburg with a regional train to Vöcklamarkt, from there with the worth seeing Atterseebahn to Attersee am Attersee, there change to the bus or walk along the Westwanderweg to Nußdorf am Attersee. Or to the train station Kammer/Schörfling and continue by bus (line 561) to Nußdorf am Attersee.

Depending on the hiking trail (variant 1 or variant 2)
