The short film “Blaue Wunder” will be shown, followed by the comedy “Die Barbaren – Willkommen in der Bretagne.”

"Blaue Wunder"
A humorous Austrian short film about Eva’s life journey—from childhood to old age—and how invisibility becomes an unexpected source of strength. This short film humorously explores the cyclical invisibility in a woman’s life—from childhood to old age—and shows how no longer being seen ultimately becomes a source of self-empowerment. “Blue Miracles” is an amusing attempt to question female upbringing and socialization and to poke fun at the much-discussed “invisibility” of women in old age. Through cinematic fragments, viewers experience the main character, Eva, in her childhood, as a young adult, and as an older woman.

"The Barbarians – Welcome to Brittany"
In the small Breton town of Paimpont, the world still seems to be in order. Even though the residents couldn’t be more different, they are united by pride in their solidarity and their love for one another. As a sign of solidarity, the community enthusiastically votes to take in a family that has fled Ukraine. However, when the Fayad family from Syria arrives in Paimpont instead of the expected Ukrainians, the supposedly cosmopolitan citizens are taken by surprise. With *THE BARBARIANS – WELCOME TO BRITTANY*, director and lead actress Julie Delpy presents a wonderfully revealing comedy about human failings and prejudices. She skillfully balances thematic seriousness with a humorous exaggeration of the endearingly quirky characters. Political incorrectness clashes with an exaggerated “welcome culture,” and everyone must ask themselves: Are we the real barbarians?

Pack a picnic blanket, get comfortable, and let yourself be enchanted by a special movie night right by the lake.

The surrounding restaurants and beachside snack bars will take care of your culinary needs with regional delicacies and refreshing drinks.
