ATTERGAU NEW YEAR'S CONCERT

with the soloists of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and soprano Katharina Ruckgaber as star guest!

It is a beautiful tradition when the soloists of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra invite the audience every year to welcome the New Year together to the sounds of the Strauss dynasty, Franz Lehár and others. With overtures, the most popular waltzes such as Frühlingstimmen, Wiener Blut, Gschichten aus dem Wienerwald, to name but a few, as well as lurid polkas, Johann Strauss Sohn's Danube Waltz will be the crowning finale of the concert, as it is every year.

As this year's special guest, we welcome the enchanting soprano Katharina Ruckgaber: she will enchant the audience with famous numbers such as Johann Strauss' Schwipslied and the hit Wien, du Stadt meiner Träume.

Like the message of the popular and globally broadcast "Great" New Year's Concert by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra from the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, all the performers see the concert as a message of peace for the audience in a time of great unrest and uncertainty.
