Once a year, St. Georgen im Attergau—located about 3 km from Lake Attersee—transforms into the international hub of ultra-cycling.
The emotional finish line, right in the middle of the Attergau Market Festival, is truly incomparable and unique. Goosebumps are guaranteed—and not just for the athletes—when the final meters of the race lead directly through the two large festival tents of the Attergau Market Festival.
An extensive program will also be on offer at this year’s Attergau Market Festival from August 15–16, 2026: Food and drinks provided by local clubs and restaurant owners on Attergaustraße, an open-air stage, two large festival tents, a bounce house, childcare, several live bands, and a hearty Sunday morning beer are all waiting for you again this year at the Attergau Market Festival. The Race Around will also make this weekend a very special experience for sports fans and festival-goers alike.
The Atterseebahn Stern & Hafferl Verkehr will provide a special schedule to ensure easy public transportation to and from the event.
Look forward to a fun-filled Saturday at the market festival with music, entertainment, and plenty of attractions for the whole family.
Kids & Family Program
- Playmobile with a bounce house —games, fun, and physical activity for our youngest visitors.
- Spiegelspielgruppe with a varied and lovingly designed children’s program.
- Perla starting at 5:30 p.m.
- Clown Bonifazius will be putting smiles on children’s faces from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with funny skits, balloon animals, giant soap bubbles, and many more surprises.
Rural Youth
- 9:00 p.m. – A lively atmosphere and entertainment with d'jung Hausrucka.
Brass Band
- 8:30 p.m. – BRO7 live in the marching band tent.
FÜMREIF Open-Air Stage
- 8:30 p.m. – DONE AFTER TONIGHT live with the best pop and rock covers.
Race Around Austria
- 10:00 p.m. – Awards ceremony.
- 10:30 p.m. – Grand fireworks display as the evening’s spectacular highlight.
Sunday
Market Festival Sunday is all about tradition, music, and a cozy get-together for the whole family.
Kids’ & Family Program
- Playmobile with a bouncy castle —a popular gathering spot for our youngest guests.
- Spiegelspielgruppe with a varied children’s program.
- Clown Bonifazius will entertain from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and again starting at 3:00 p.m. with his popular skits, balloon animals, and giant soap bubbles.
Rural Youth
- 11:00 a.m. – Musical entertainment with the Weißbåchseer Tanzlmusi.
Brass Band
- 10:30 a.m. – Traditional morning beer with the Steff'n Hansl Musi in the band’s tent.
- 2:00 p.m. – Youth orchestra gathering in the marching band tent.
