The dog swimming area in Weyregg on Lake Attersee has been relocated and is now located south of the Alexenau sailing harbor!

A new, fenced-in dog swimming area with direct access to the lake has been created in Weyregg on Lake Attersee. It’s a real highlight for pet lovers who don’t want to miss out on swimming fun with their dogs on hot summer days.

While dogs are not allowed at most beaches and outdoor swimming pools on Lake Attersee, the new area in Weyregg—right next to the Alexenau sailing harbor—is a rare exception. It not only offers dogs the chance to cool off in the water but also to move about freely—in a safe, fenced-in environment. The area is fenced in and designed so that both pets and their owners can enjoy a relaxing time by the lake.

With the new swimming area in Weyregg / Alexenau, the options for dog owners at Lake Attersee are significantly expanded—a step toward greater pet-friendliness and improved recreational quality.

Dogs are permitted to roam freely within the fenced-in area.
