The first underwater nativity scene for divers in Europe is located in the Upper Austrian Attersee in the Salzkammergut. In 2019, the board of the Diving Competence Centre had the idea for Europe's first underwater nativity scene. This year, the new winter attraction is to be experienced by divers for the first time. "The underwater nativity scene can be visited annually from the first Advent until Maria Lichtmesse on 2 February, in Weyregg am Attersee at the Dixi - Pfahlbauhaus diving station. A particular challenge in the implementation was the reinterpretation of the underwater nativity scene as well as the choice of material.
