Description: Viewings are only possible on request

This diving museum is a very interessting archive for diving history. Visits only on request! The Attersee, the number one freshwater diving destination in the Alps, has set up a loving archive of diving history with this diving museum, which provides posterity with a historical overview of the development of diving history. Hermann Kadasch's aim with the Taucher Museum is to provide posterity with historical documentation and, at the same time, to promote a community of like-minded people.

Diving professional Hermann Kadasch has built a loving archive of diving history with this diving museum.
Kadasch is one of the first Austrian diving instructors. This is documented by his diver pass with the (almost historical) number 13.

The top exhibits in the small diving museum in Weißenbach include a Roman lead anchor from the 1st - 3rd centuries AD and amphorae from Spain from around 100 AD.
A collection of leather and wooden containers as well as several original medals by Hans Hass are also part of the exhibition, as is a find from the Red Sea: Chinese porcelain from the first dynasty after Ming.
An Aqualung regulator from the very beginning as well as the Boston Mass diving helmet from September 18, 1951 (U.S. Diving Helmet) or the first “decompression meter” from the Italian company SOS, which is considered the predecessor of today's dive computers, are also part of the exhibition.
Diving magazines, archived from the very beginning, are also an important pillar of the museum.
