This was ended with a jump into too shallow water at the age of 18, in 1984. Paraplegia from the neck down.

Survival - a gift from God.

My way to paint with the mouth, arose from the affect. It was the starting signal for figural - abstract graphics colorful mixed and art paintings acrylic on linen. My Paul way of mouth painting is self-taught and irrevocably expresses life and its feelings.

My songs and lyrics spring from life itself. They tell of ups and downs of my soul, in the expression emotionally louder or quieter. They want to touch and motivate.
Through my Paulus Painting Blues Band - simply with guitar accompaniment or filled with other musicians - people can participate in the nature of my music.

My "Paulus-Art" is simple or diverse, colorful or black and white, just like life itself with ups and downs.
My vernissages, concerts and lectures can take place individually or be combined together in a smaller or larger setting.

Experiencing, living through and surviving traumatic events and the rocky, precious path of realizing to meet myself pushed me to raise my voice. My words bear witness to overcoming powerlessness and speak of the power of love.
As a psychosocial companion, I give my vis-à-vis space to open up, express itself and unfold anew.
