An almost 60 year old watchmaker workshop offers interesting insights into the craftsmanship of the old masters. Whoever wants to discover the function and technology of the ancient timepieces is at the right place.
A special Highlight is the hand-forged church clock of the Pfarrkirche Vöcklamarkt from the year 1777. It offers the ideal visual instruction on the function of a watch from this period. In addition, one may admire a collection of dresser watches from the baroque period, the Empire style, to the art nouveau. You will also learn more about time measurement techniques from the most simple mechanical watch to the atomic clock.
Moreover, a small, but excellent regional historical exhibition is presented, comprising exhibits from the three districts of Vöcklamarkt, Pfaffing and Fornach. Starting with the Roman period the exhibition covers the history of the districts and parishes through the ages to present time.
