Yacht and sailing clubs at Lake Attersee

Lake Attersee is home to the oldest sailing club in Austria - the Union Yacht Club Attersee.

There are yachting and sailing clubs in all places around the lake which keep the long tradition of sailing on Lake Attersee active and alive. Especially the promotion of young talent with summer camps for children and adolescents offering for example optimist boats is very much a matter of the heart for the club. The enthusiasm for sailing is often laid in early childhood and is then usually retained until old age.

Are you looking for an athletic challenge? At our yachting and sailing clubs, you have the chance to compete with other sailors at national and international regattas in different boat classes. Moreover, traditional events with special class boats take place. In addition, there is the Attersee Cup, an overall ranking of eight yardstick regattas which are performed by the individual sailing clubs at Lake Attersee.
