Impressive concerts are on the programme to mark the 40th anniversary of the Wiener Akademie orchestra. The festival season kicks off in March with Bach's St John Passion in Salzburg. The Missa in tempore belli follows in Mondsee in collaboration with the Vienna Boys' Choir. A glittering gala concert in Bad Ischl presents orchestral works and arias by George Frideric Handel, interpreted by Alois Mühlbacher. A special highlight awaits the audience at Kammer Castle on Lake Attersee: Bach's coffee and hunting cantata, complemented by scenic surprises.
