Nestled between the giants Beethoven and Brahms, the three exceptional artists present a very special "Allegro giusto" by Nino Rota, composed in 1973. An award-winning composer, he is one of the most important Mediterranean composers of our time.
His film scores for Fellini's La Dolce Vita, Coppola's The Godfather, 8 1/2 and The Leopard have achieved cult status. That the Milanese wunderkind also scores in a somewhat different genre is shown by his crowd-pleasing Clarinet Trio, which comes from an eventful year for Nino Rota, in which his film score for The Godfather was nominated for an Oscar: A virtuoso piece full of wit and ingenuity with circus-like passages.
