Acting star Cornelius Obonya lends his incomparable voice to the humorous "everyday stories" of Alfred Polgar, the great narrator of Viennese modernism who, like hardly any other poet, is able to observe the seemingly inconspicuous and insignificant with such razor-sharp precision.
Framed by evergreens like "I kiss her hand, Madame" or "Say goodbye..." with seductive melodies from the cello, improvisationally painted over by saxophone and bass clarinet and underpinned by pulsating grooves from the accordion.
