GERLI, THE WITCH OF GERLHAM MOOR
THE MIRACULOUS JOURNEY OF THE PEARLFISH FROM THE SEA TO THE ATTERSEE

Further information can be found here: www.naturschauspiel.at

On a joint hike into the moor, dear Gerli, a moor witch, comes to meet us. She knows many stories and legends to tell about the moor and the Attersee area. A special feature is the journey of the pearl fish from the Black Sea to Lake Attersee. With all your senses, you discover many secrets together in the moor habitat in Seewalchen am Attersee.

The starting point of the hike is in Seewalchen and from there you walk past old trees and are accompanied for a while by a stream until you reach the Gerlhamer Moor.

What luck! Gerli, the moor witch, comes to meet us. She is sad because she will soon have to leave her moor. She has forgotten her most important task. But she is helped to remember again!

Together they search for a treasure chest. Hidden inside is a wondrous story. It tells of the journey of the pearl fish from the Black Sea to Lake Attersee. Gerli also has something to do with it.
Finally she remembers the task. Now she can stay in her beloved moor!

Wrapped up in this imaginative story about the dear witch Gerli, you discover and experience the moor habitat with all your senses.
The pearlfish plays an important role in this. By the way, it can be seen in the Linz Castle Museum.

By the way: the pearlfish is now also available in the region as a mascot! Information on this can be found here.
