Here you will learn everything about time and time measuring devices. Upper Austria’s first museum of horological craftsmanship and measuring technologies will take you through the history of time measurement, from sundials over primitive verge and foliot clocks all the way to the atomic clock. ​ The craftsmanship and ingenuity of long-gone masters is brought to life here for the visitors. Apart from the museum of horology, the local heritage museum Heimathaus also shows a historic shop interior dating back to 1850, it explains the history of the region and the village and displays furniture from the time when Austria was an empire as well as Roman finds from the excavations on the Haushamerfeld area. If sports is what you are interested in, you will enjoy the numerous hiking trails offering wonderful views of the mountains. Well-marked theme cycle paths also run through our town. Have you ever heard of the Rosswein-Roas (a wine-tasting excursion in a horse-drawn carriage)? If you are a sociable person and you enjoy wine, you really shouldn’t miss out on this!
