This stone marked the distance of 31 miles from Bon Juvavum (Salzburg). It was placed in 201 after the turn of the century, when Lucius Septimius Severus was Roman emperor. This stone proves that the Roman road from Juvavum to Lauriacum (Lorch near Enns) passed near Vöcklamarkt. One Roman mile corresponds to a length of 1480 metres. The distance of the milestone is therefore 46 kilometres. A milestone with the same inscription was also found on the road from Klagenfurt to Völkermarkt in Carinthia.
