Hikes in the Attersee-Attergau Region
Hiking in the holiday region Attersee-Attergau is as diverse as its landscape. From moderate hiking tours in the north via gently rising pleasure hiking trails until you reach the mountain tops of the Höllengebirge and the Schafberg in the south. From the top of the Buchberg at the village of Attersee at the Attersee a fantastic view of the entire area is guaranteed. The same holds true for the Schoberstein at Steinbach am Attersee. For those aiming not so high, the Attergauer Aussichtsturm (lookout tower) on the Lichtenberg also offers a great view. Hiking along the Weitwanderweg Attersee-Attergau offers the possibility of discovering almost the entire region. There is something to suit all tastes and for every level of hiking difficulty!
Walkers, hikers and mountain climbers do not fall short and may enjoy a wide range of hiking paths and mountain trails to work off some energy. And, speaking of pleasure: the Bergsteigerdorf Steinbach am Attersee (mountain climber village) has fully devoted itself to the objectives of the Alpine Convention – for sustainable development for the protection of the alpine region. Our cultural and natural landscape can be experienced at the Naturpark Attersee-Traunsee – in the villages of Steinbach am Attersee and Weyregg am Attersee.
